COVID-19 and HEALTH MEASURES
As of May 1, 2022, the Covid-19 restrictions on entry into the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria were removed.

By decision of the Minister of Health on April 1 this year the emergency epidemic situation imposed by the coronavirus pandemic has ended. This eliminates the obligatory anti-epidemic measures in the open air, such as: the obligatory wearing of a face mask in closed public spaces, compliance with physical distance, restrictions on the number of people who can visit indoor sites, educational centers, public events etc.. The argument for this decision is the reduced number of infected cases, as well as the reduced number of patients hospitalized for treatment.
However, the Ministry of Health strongly recommends compliance with anti-epidemic measures indoors and at large gatherings.
